Why does my hand & wrist brace stink?
I have to wear a thumb stabilizer wrist barce at work for tendon issues. I wash this thing once a week in the sink, air dry–spray with fabric softener till I can’t smell anything else.
Even still, after wearing the brace for a few hours, my entire hand smells like stinky feet, even after I’ve showered, even after I’ve washed my hands 76 times, applied scented lotions, etc.
….Even after not having the brace on for 24 hours, my hand STILL smells like gym socks.
Why? And how do I correct this? Tomato sauce works for skunk…what about stinky brace smell on my hand?
Oh, and yes, it is one of those better braces with the heavy black dye that is often used in black jeans. However, it doesn’t smell like that black dye. Just dirty feet….
your hand is covered so it sweats. happens to anything that is cover for extended periods with no fresh air.
