Wheel Rollator
Cat lovers serious question: How do I keep my cat from killing me?
When my wife died her cat adopted me. I have to walk with a rollator (walker on wheels) and can fall easily. If I go anywhere the cat has to beat me there sometimes running under the rollator or even between my legs. She has no fear of it. Yesterday I ran over her tail twice accidentally. I thought about carrying a spray bottle around but I don’t know if she’d understand. That works fine for keeping away from plants, etc. but I’m a moving target so would it just keep her away from me? I don’t want either of us getting seriously hurt.
So sorry your wife died and I’m glad her cat adopted you,you’d be comfort for each other, as cats grieve too.
Spraying water at the cat will only make her nervous of you, as would any punishment and that would be a shame as she obviously loves you and wants to be near you. Punishing cats never works as they don’t understand why you are doing it, to the cat she is doing nothing wrong.
I do understand your plight as my own late mother had problems walking,the cats loved her and would run with her, like your cat does.She just had to walk very carefully keeping in mind that a cat could run and trip her up any second or she could hurt one of them with her stick.
There really isn’t any other solution than being very very careful for your own safety and for hers.
