Can I use a Blood Glucose Monitor although I’m not diabetic?
Okay, so I ordered this free Blood Glucose Monitoring system from OneTouch (I got the UltraMini) and I was wondering, although I’m not diabetic, can I monitor my blood glucose with this?? The reason why I wanted to get it is because my granny had diabetes (got it years ago when she turned 60–died 2 years ago though from pancreas cancer) and I want to monitor my blood glucose because my doctor says I intake too much sugar (I’m 14) and I believe I can be at risk for getting diabetes (my aunt also has it)….So, is it safe for me to monitor my blood? Should I worry about anything??? Thanks.
Yes you can monitor your blood glucose daily and it’s a good ideal to check it often. There’s nothing to worry about your still young.
