What are the symptoms of arthritis in the hips? I wake up with excruciating pain in my hips an top half of my?
legs. I take Ibuprofen in the morning and it takes care of the pain for most of the day. I went to the doctor and he moved my legs in a certain way to see if it was arthritis and he said it wasn’t. He told me to take a massive dose of Ibuprofen every day for 10 days to see if this would Get Rid of it. It went away for a few weeks and it is back again.
I have arthritis all over my joints, but never had an excruciating pain. Early in the morning hours I have stiffness and dull pain, uncomfortable sensations and my joints are swollen, so I start exercising to get the blood flow going as the day goes on it gets better. Again everyone’s symptoms are different, if you indeed have a severe arthritic hips, then the degree of pain will be higher. As you know you can’t cure arthritis caused by aging, abused joints and so on.
I would see another physician to get a second opinion and have him check thoroughly to make sure there’s nothing floating inside of your hip bones or a severe wear, osteopenia.
By the way, are you overweighed ? just curious. Extra weight will wear your hips down too, but leg pain too…Hips are in trouble, thighs will be affected too from the pressure.
