Support Orthotic
Could anyone recommend some MA shoes which would be good for someone with chronic plantaar fasciitis?
(basically it has to have a moderate amount of built-in arch support, or the ability to remove the insole so I can insert my own custom-made orthotic.)
Funnily enough, I got this a few months ago. Luckily I got over what was a very uncomfortable and disabling condition (lots of stretching the foot and massage).
You’re going to have problems finding a pair of Martial Arts shoes which will fit your needs as the basic premise of them is to be unobtrusive, light and provide grip. I’d suggest trying to find some wrestling boots. They will give you the flexibility and support you need while being as unobtrusive as they can be.
I use Reebok wrestling boots but if I were you I would try Addidas, Asics or Ottomix(sp?). The Adidas might be better regarding the insoles. Whereas Ottomix are made for martial arts.
