Knee Support for work?

I am going to be doing a lot of manual labor at the animal shelter and I was wondering if there are any good ways to support my knee and prevent additional damage on top of what I have now.

you can buy a cloth knee brace that has support sewn into the sides that you can slip over your knee or use a tensor bandage (after a knee operation the doctor wrapped me with one of these)
