ace bandages are the best, and are alot cheaper than going out and buying an ankle brace. keep ice on the ankle, and also try taking 800mg of advil every 8 hours (three times a day), unless you have a problem such as internal bleeding disorders, history of stomach ulcers, or other problems with bleeding such as blood clotting or clotting disorders. if you do have any of these problems, try tylenol for pain relief. advil will work to take the inflammation of the ankle swelling away and make you feel alot better. also be sure to keep the ankle elevated when you are sitting down to improve circulation to the ankle.
