Is it possible to use "to discuss the size of" here? Or not?
I have come across the term "test for size "in the context of: My compatriots and consumption of browse, search, test and examine the size – and only if the item is perfect what we buy. Is it acceptable to use "to discuss the size" instead of "testing for size? What is the difference here? Thanks in advance!
It depends on whether the issue may be used or not. If in fact you can use, and then "try on size is quite acceptable. Here, the phrase means "Let's see if it fits. It is, however, it is possible to change the expression to match an element that can not be used. This is where "try size" would be in order. In this case, the term acquires a more flexible meaning, and suggests a situation in which, for example, someone could suggest a way of doing something. You could then say "Let's try it for size," which means "Let's see if it works ". I hope this has been of some help.
