someone please help? how to work a steam shower?

My friend and I stayed at my grandmothers house, I need help. She has a steam shower, and has a nozzle on the outside looks like a timer. 15 minutes says "steam." inside is a bank and a tap with a hose, or you can make a shower. HELP? how to make the steam?

The steam coming out of a round metal head emitting steam in the wall generally lower toward the bottom of the shower. Beyond what you see is actually a timer, turn it on and sit on the bench. After about 5 minutes or less will be enough hot to start steaming the head of the issuing steam. The shower head and hose are for the shower, not steam.
