I know of no legal process for disposal, (which does not mean that there is no law in reference to its disposal), but are encouraged to hand in the local pharmacy or hospital. Some people make a 'live' search through the garbage / trash cans (making calculations). Alternatively, you may request a "sharps box" – used in hospitals and clinics – and they cut the syringe needle and syringe barrel is ready in the table below. Hope this helps Matador 89
