Why is the refractor so pleasing to the eye?
By comparing many telescopes in life, is the refractor that has given me pleasure more global — All things considered. But even the reduction of the playoffs to just the optical refractor seems to give myself the pleasant view and the feeling. I even opening sacrifice for image fidelity is achieved with a good small refractor. I know this defies the popular axiom "opening always wins ", but I'm not sure that always applies. A good Apochromat, however, is near perfection. When I came into some money I bought a 5 "apo telescope that was my main five. Finally I have supplemented with a 12" baby. The Guan Sheng primary birth date is right, so the refractor can often keep him in detail the planets and double hard, but the light gathering ability of the birth date makes no jurisdiction over objects deep space. If the refractor will be your only scope, I suggest you go with Apochromat at least 4 or 5 "achromatic, and if you go to an achromatic, obtain the relationship time a focal point as you can handle. APO 80 mm is a powerful and fast and easy to configure, but too small to sustain the interest and one instrument. Also, before you decide categorically that the refractors are the best images, spend some time with a premium of Newt with Zambuto or optics of similar quality. The combination of large aperture optics and near perfect is amazing.
