How do you tactfully teach your male sweetie how to shop for fresher flowers than he got on Valentine’s?

The white roses he bought were beautiful, but they are now struggling at 2 days past Valentine’s. I know how to check for good rosebud heads, because I have floral experience. But how do you teach your significant male other to pick better flowers for next year, so he won’t be dissapointed, without hurting his feelings for buying them in the first place. Without sounding the least bit ungratefull.

I am afraid you can’t. You should just learn to appreciate his efforts as they are or you do run the risk of appearing ungrateful.
