How can I get my puppy to stop using a platform puppy?
We ended our 8 week old puppy a few days ago and coach came and taught others how to use the litter puppy pads that are not removed in other parts of the house. We did not want to use pills so do not put any down at first, resulting in two # 2 accidents. So we put down a platform to see what happened, and was on the pad. The problem now is that he will go to number 2 on the platform … pisses off regular basis as we were. But even if he is starting to go # 2 on the keyboard and pick it up and make out of it, will let you go, play a bit, then runs into the house and the foot in the door to enter We have tried not to let it back in and encourage him to stay away so it'll go, but he just will not go (we've been with him until 30 minutes from the moment he walked out). So, as soon as we got inside, that is dog shit on the platform within 30 seconds. Help!
Once the dog has been trained to enter is more difficult to retrain out. Begin zero in internal training. When the puppy wakes up, after meals and after exercise (play) put the puppy on a leash and walk it. so soon as the pup was removed to give a treatment, much to praise the puppy go to the right place. You will have to be careful when inside. When you see the puppy looking for a place to go, get out, again the praise and try to eliminate outdoors. when the puppy goes on the inside (as training) Do not punish your puppy, just clean it and pay more attention.
