i think i have osteoarthritis.. every time i move my neck or shoulders it cracks…i cant help it it just does..i habe to bones that pop up in the back of my neck.they just touch

Before jumping to the worst conclusion, see a chiropractor. If you don’t have good posture (which seems to apply to most teenage girls), you can develop a misalignment of the spine. If left uncorrected, the muscles spasm, locking everything into this misalignment, and only physical therapy and adjustments can correct it.

Some chiropractors (and chiropractic schools) are really flakey – but some are very science oriented – like Orthopaedic surgeons without the knifes. Look for someone that graduated from Cleveland or LACC, or Southern California University of Health Sciences. Those are all schools that I know have a science-based orientation. I’d avoid anyone from Palmer, or anyone that starts talking about “vital life forces”
