Orthotics Size
What brand / type of snowboard boots are best for women / narrow feet to avoid slippage in the heel?
I've been riding for 10 + years and have tried dozens of brands and sizes and boot styles. The only pair was initially tolerable, DC, from 2001 or 2002, which had a strap inner ankle or heel keeps slipping close to the ankle. I tried on Saturday with Burton as the grip level on the back and it does not catch well enough. I mean / toes wide and high arch and narrow heel. I have also tried custom orthotics in my boots. I have no help or moldable boots purchased in the past. Vans think, not the best, but the arch support was better. I like the look so moldable arch support goes, but does not help at all with the sliding of the heel.
I have the same problem, my ankle is wrong, no matter what. I have tried to Burton and 32 so far, none of which worked for me. I tried Ride in a couple of years ago (no idea what they were called) that fit very well, but is new to snowboarding, I thought they were too tight and not for them. The next Once you find a new pair I think I will try to Ride. Indeed, the moldable liners helped me not to slip heel either. Good luck, I hope you find a good pair!
