Is it possible to exchange a first generation iPod Touch for one of the new second generation?

I am a first generation iPod Touch. Apple has just released a new generation with the speaker, external volume control, etc. Can I bring my current store and exchange it for one of the new Second generation? The iPod I have now is only maybe 3 months old. Still in great shape.
