Compression Stockings?
My compression stockings come in the mail on saturday so i was wondering if for the meanwhile i could use my moms compression stockings? they fit me just fine and are 20-30 mmHG. Im doing Clinicals right now for nursing so im on my feet for 8 straight hours!!! My legs are aching & red by the end of my shift.
Can i wear these stockings tmmrw so my legs wont ache so much OR is it actually dangerous to do such a thing???

As for using your mom’s stockings. One day shouldn’t hurt. 20-30mmHG is a fairly mild compression. I was able to buy them w/o a script. If they fit fine, give them a try. However, I would take a pair of your own nylons along with you, just in case you get uncomfortable. If you think 8 hours is a long time being on your feet, just wait until it’s 12 to 16 hrs.
By the way, I can understand why your legs may be tired at the end of your shift but why are they red? Do you have circulation problems already? The compression stockings you will be getting, are they Rx or just nursing stockings?
