Lite Test

I have type 2 diabetes and test with the FreeStyle Lite test. It is not consistent.?

Often when I try I have 3 numbers totally different. By example I just checked and I said 74. I did not think so because thats way low so I reconsidered and said 125. So I needed proof tiebreaker and came up to 145! So three consecutive tests, and three different numbers. I just want to know is this happening to other people? Do I need a tester I just got back it. What would make my tests to be so different. Any suggestions?

Here are the options that I suggest: a. Run a test to ensure that your meter is calibrated correctly. B. Between each test, make sure your fingertips are free from any excess glucose is not necessary wash hands as many suggest, but must work in hand with warm water and rub together, then pat dry with a clean. c. If the lancet device must have a new needle for each test to ensure that changes to each that has been demonstrated in studies using the same needle to test often causes pollution cross which simply means that there is still microscopic blood cells remaining in the needle, this can give false readings. d. Or it could be a fluke …. We all occasionally. My solution over the years has been to use two different meters manufactured by two different companies to compare outcomes in I think the case may be getting a false reading. Also, use the Multi-Clix lancet device that contains a battery of six needles, none of which can see or touch. Just be sure to go to the next needle on the drum before returning to the test. This device is manufactured by Accu-Chek lancet and comes with the Accu-Chek Aviva meters, but can be purchased separately.
