Large Black

What kind of bee or wasp has a large black body and red / orange wings?

I live in South Texas Coast, and was little by a bee or a large black wasp with a little long red / orange wings. I've seen, tend to remain low in the grass. I would like to know the specific species. I have tried Internet, but no luck. Any help is appreciated. 971 Michael, Thank you for your help, you are absolutely correct. Sound like a tarantula hawk wasp. They live in the Southwest. They hunt spiders.
