Has anybody tried self-hypnosis or meditation Cd’s and received benefits?

I have seen all over the internet Hypnosis Cd’s, subliminal CD’s, meditations CD’s… Has anybody actually tried them consistently and derived any benefits? I am very curious to try one out. The main premise of the CD’s are tapping into the unconscious mind and reprogramming for positive changes through repetition.

The best results I’ve found with meditation and music is to make your own CD so that the songs you’ll be hearing are relaxing to you or special to you- that way you know you won’t get some tracks that piss you off and ruin your time.
