Heart Rate

Is it an increase in heart rate or the actual body movement that makes you burn calories?
Would not surprise me if they were both, and I apologize if this seems a stupid question. When people panic or masturbate, for example, your heart rate rises and therefore if they do become depleted enough (such as after vigorous exercise). I know real tone muscles exercise, but if someone is just looking to burn calories and not work their muscles, as well as finding a way to increase your heart rate without actually exercising burn calories?
Calories are units of energy, nothing more. It exerts Enery, any at all, you lose calories. To answer your question, both in increased heart rate and body movement burns calories. But the body continuous movement burns more. If you really do not want to exercise, you burn calories by washing, simply brush, etc. Hope I helped.
