Forearm Crutches
Crutches??
I have a grade 2 MCL sprain in my right knee. I am on crutches and wearing a hinged knee brace 23 hours a day. I know how to use them, and they are fitted correctly. The are not right on the armpit, but next to the forearm. (Where they should be.) The only thing is that I’m getting bruises on my forearm. It’s only my 1st day on them, and I am on them for at least 2 more weeks. If anyone has any comments for help, please respond. Thank you so much

we usually take soft cotton roll and wrap it around the tops of the crutches and secure it with an acewrap or something to keep it Secure and Soft and Less of a Bother than the squeezyplasticbits that they come with.
I know they market Sheepskin Covers for them as well, but by the time you order them and get them in the mail, you might be done with the crutches!
play with soft malleable things at home and see if anything alleviates the discomfort and bruising… worst case: when you go see your doc, have his nurses spot you some webril and you can wrap that around the rubby bits.
I know how you feel, I had horrendous bruises on the insides of my arms and the part of my chest where they rubbed
