How long before recovering from a broken leg, ankle and foot?
I had a very bad car accident on January 6 this year. I broke the right leg (fibula) shattered my ankle and the foot (if not because my leg had a pulse, which would have to be amputated). It's been 6 months and I'm still in a lot of pain … I take Percocet 10/325 every 4 hours and sometimes not even enough. It makes me wonder if it will ever walk again (without crutches), and makes me very sad. Has anyone been in a similar situation? How long does it take to recover and how was the process? I really appreciate it if you could help me understand my best recovery. Thank you very much.
Speaking from experience .. I broke my leg in the 2nd place and wrist in 9 during the same accident.I was unemployed for 6 months .. I waited and rested, as I said, but also remains the stretch and flex my foot and hand to keep things moving. if you have had immobilized during this time it will take some rehab .. You may also consider the possibility that the hook in their pain medicines. which way to trick the brain into thinking its so take more pain. Take care and good luck
