Feet Arch

I run track, but lately I've been having severe pain in the arch of one of my feet. What happens?
I have 16 years and run track i (my first year, but I play field hockey) I'm in great shape, but lately the arch of my foot was really hurting me. It is only in my left foot and it feels like something is going to tear at the foot i. It is very painful and I feel like when you run in practice i am doing the worst. I have exercised the idea that it might be my place, but the pain is only on one foot. Please help!
