Electric Shock…should I seek medical attention?
I received an electric shock from an old power bar. At the moment I am in Europe (higher voltage than the U.S.). I am somewhat concerned since my fingers are a bit reddish (as if I got a minor burn-which I guess I essentially did), and I still have a funny feeling in my fingers (and somewhat in my hand and arm (up until my elbow essentially). I would rather not see a doctor since I am abroad, and it is much more complicated. It was for a second or two, and I was able to take my hand away, but scary none the less…first time I have had a shock!
It all depends on the size of electric shock you had received when you made contact with the power bar. The redness on your fingers are more than likely burns. There is not much you can do if you refuse to take yourself to the doctor. The most you can do is rest, treat your fingers, and take ibuprofen for pain.
