Digital Thermometer
Do you think the Aqua Culture Digital Thermometer’s are off by a few degrees?
The ones that aren’t even “digital” but it’s in the name anyway, they are like little stickers you put outside your aquarium.
Anyway, So My fish tank feels really cold but its says 80F. And that doesn’t seem right, it was really cheap at Walmart, has anyone had the same thermometer? Do you think it’s off my a few degrees?
I would get another one but my Moms to fricken lazy to take me to a store 2 miles away to buy a descent one even if i pay for it.

If you question your thermometer, then you should buy another one. They’re like two dollars each, which is very inexpensive. And temperature is important for your fish. So I, personally, would buy a second thermometer if I questioned the validity of my first one. And I would buy a different brand and model. Like if the first one was an adhesive sticker, I would make the second one a sinking standing thermometer or a suction cup thermometer.
But even if it’s off by 5 degrees, your fish should be for the most part just fine. The most important thing for fish keeping is consistency. As long as your water temp is stable, the fish will adjust to it.
