Methadone.ANY APPROPRIATE INFO NEEDED.For how long is used to detox from methadone addiction to opioid drugs?

Hello, I just started a methadone program for opiate addiction to drugs. I know very little about the methadone, I know what people take a dose and for what? also how long is it used? I've heard people say they've been there for years and I think quite disappointing, just like I'm addicted changes drug for another! I also know that the success rate for patients left clean of all drugs long term? If anyone has useful information about of any treatment with methadone i would really appreciate it. I do not know anyone personally who has been through a methadone program and it would be great to hear nothing of people who have had firsthand experience with methadone. I feel out of my here and need some advice! Thanks in advance.

If you want to wean itself of its methods can be done! reduce in small amounts and allow a couple of weeks Inbetween each reduction to allow your body to adjust to change.
