Ion Cleanse Foot Spa?

Can anyone please tell me anything they know about DR Detox Ion Cleanse Foot spa, do they work

They don’t really do what they say they will do. They say the will pull toxins from your feet. They don’t do any thing much more than soaking your feet in a warm salt solution. So at least your feet will feel better after doing it. I looked up the explanation of how the DR works. What it does is apply a current through water with several salts added. The machine periodically reverses the poles that are in the water.

What is happening is an electrolysis of water. The salts help the current move easier from one pole to another. Doing this electrolysis was a demonstration that my science students liked because of all that was happening. On each pole you could see some bubbles forming. You may not see the bubbles with the DR. The poles my not be visible.

On one pole hydrogen gas is being produced. You could collect it and burn it. On the other pole the gas being produced is the gas made of the negative ion’s from the salt. More that likely the salts are chloride salts. The other gas being produced is chlorine. A precipitate is being formed so the water becomes a little scummy. They liked the idea that you could make a explosive gas and a poisonous gas at the same time. The the chlorine gas doesn’t smell very good, so when the DR is working it might stink a little.
