Levels of learning the guitar?

Hi, I have been playing guitar since age six am an acoustic and electric guitarist capable. Between ages of 13 and 18, I became so absorbed in the learning of all my favorite songs that really developed my skills and even taught guitar to children and young adults for a few months in New York (rock, blues, jazz, metal fast). However, I only have a good practice. Now I'm 21 and lately I've found my guitar skills are not as refined as they once were and never really sat down and learned a theory (I only know the names of the basic chords) I started considering learning the guitar from grades 1 and up. I do not know where to start. Many degrees are there? How long does each grade necessary to fill? Can I do that from home as I work full time? What exactly is the "degree of making" the participation and what benefits of completing the degree (ie, to give me as a professional guitarist?)? I really want to be much faster in the solos – blues / metal. Thanks …

Never heard of the grading system, but I learned to play long ago. I can give you a little piece of advice that can help as you mention you've only learned basic chords. In Nashville, we used a basic theory called "System of Numbers. What it does is allow to play any song at any key, the time they have the numbers produced by the chord changes. This is very simple: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and then 8 (or eighth, which is the same note, such as 1, an "octave higher) The numbers are the same as Do, Re, Me, Fa, So, La, si, do, like the song in the movie" The Sound of Music . Remember, "Do (or female) a deer, a female deer, Re, a drop of sunlight that falls, a name I call myself, fa, a long way to run … Goofy I know, but almost everyone has heard playing this song so if the root (or 1) is "C", the numbers translate into, C, D, E, F, G, A, B, C. Easy right? Now try the key of "G", G, A, B, C, D, E, F #, G. Thus, a 1, 4, 5 pattern would be C, F & G in the key of "C". OG, C and D in the key of "G". Works on any chord. If your song is C, slows, D minor, G, would, 1, 6 -, 2 -, 5. In the key of "G" the same pattern that would be G, Eminor, the youngest, D. Notice how less is written as a minus (-). Type more easy huh? People write graphics in hundreds of different styles with "#" for acute, of course, or "b" flat "or" for a minor chord, ">" etc. also increased for basic chords are made up of this, 1, 3 and 5 indicates that a chord.
