Need help to sort a spreadsheet in Excel?

Ok, I'm usually pretty good when it comes to excel, but this is killin me. I have to order the following information in any way, hard to explain but look below for an example of what looks like and what I try to do if possible. The agreement is that I have a list of Essential Oils and each oil has 5 uses and warnings 2. I want to sort them by their uses and oil, if they make sense. Example of how it looks in my sheet: (shortened to fit here) / oils used to separte columns / Uses1 / Uses2 / Uses3 / War1 / War2 chamomile / dry skin or burns / relax / Sedatives / bergamot none / acne and wounds, anxiety or avoided if em / lavender none / stress / headaches / Burns / none / no And I know that can be some order so if you want to see all essential oils that help burn shown all of them grouped together, but I can not find out how. Not I know how. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just created the spreadsheet as you have and have your answer. You are on the right track. Select the entire worksheet by CTRL + A or click the white square in the upper left corner of the road … is just to the left of column A and above row 1. Next go to the top menu and click DATA, then sort. In the bottom of the menu selection is a section titled MI HA select range data …. ROW HEADER, and you can sort first by a continuation of the next by selecting the drop down list and selecting a first use, then USES 2 suppose you want to be next, then the oils for third. You may also have to sort in ascending order alphbetically AZ (or numerically 1,2,3, … if you had nubmers) Your data will be sorted first by uses one, then use two oils then. So all the applications that start with an anxiety are listed first. I think I know enough by now to understand this part, it was getting it done. Good luck!
