arthritis pain management
Anyone experiencing pain from arthritis?
I have arthritis in the facet joint in the lowest lumbar spine. I also has a bulging disc, but I am sure that the pain comes from the arthritis. Everything I have tried, does not ease the pain. I am worst at night. I go to sleep on my side but wake up on my back in excrutiating pain. It’s so bad that I can’t move, not even my legs, it feels like I’m gonna snap in two or pass out. I have to get my husband to gently roll me over to the side again before I am comfortable enough to get back to sleep. This happens at least half a dozen times a night. The last meds prescribed are a low dose antidepressant that has pain management properties, so far this has not worked. Other meds either don’t work or upset my stomach. I am desperate for a good nights sleep, this has been going on for almost 12 months now, not a single full nights sleep in that time. PLEASE HELP
I have this too. You need to ask your doctor to send you to a pain management specialist. I take 2 vicodin a day. I take a noninflammatory. A antidepressant. I use ice packs. I had a couch made for me. It only has one long cushion on it. With that and pillows. I get the support that helps. There is only so much they can do for you. A nerve block is one. Surgery is another. Hope you find the help you need. God bless.
